#31 - The Borgias

Ohemgee, this claim was soooo haaaaard! ;____; BUT I ENJOYED IT SO MUCH. I think it's much more fun to really challenge myself than to just pop out the same icons over and over. Anyway, as always, there is MUCH experimentation here. Some of these I don't like that much, and some of them I'm really very proud of. XD Because of the Ask the Maker meme, I read many tutorials while making this batch: this one by [livejournal.com profile] twinstrike, this one by [livejournal.com profile] longerthanwedo, this one by [livejournal.com profile] apologizeg, this one by [livejournal.com profile] mm3butterfly, and this one by [livejournal.com profile] apologizeg. One of the BIGGEST things I discovered by reading all these tuts is gaussian blur, so I've used this technique on almost every icon. XD Oh, by the way, this is my claim for [livejournal.com profile] big20in20! I claimed The Borgias. Since I was really experimental, especially with reading tutorials, I'm very open to some feedback and concrit. ♥

The final result of these icons is stunning! I really like your ACs and the expressionism one! (:

What a fun set - and I love symbolism. The alternate is great, but I love that B&W/Sepia look. AC2 is also really pretty. I love the composition of it. The yellow really pops in it.
